Ski touring ban on the Hochkar
Ski touring is prohibited all day on the Hochkar!
The Hochkar ski area is a pure ski and snowboard area. Due to the partly very narrow and steep slopes, piste walking is prohibited all day.
Some of our slopes have to be prepared with rope winch. This rope is up to 1km long, can dig into the snow and is therefore often not visible. Crossing the rope can lead to fatal accidents.
We appeal to your common sense to observe the closures.
As an alternative, there are numerous routes in Göstling and the surrounding area that are in the open countryside or on the slopes of the surrounding ski areas. For piste walking it does not have to be the Hochkar.
For all those who want to train for the Hochkar Challenge, the week after the end of the season is perfect.
