Explore the Hochkar only in winter? Certainly not! At the Hochkar, the mountain railroads also operate in summer. The Hochkarbahn takes hikers, climbers, families, mountain enthusiasts as well as summer visitors comfortably up to 1770m. And one thing is firmly promised to you: Everyone can go up and enjoy the breathtaking landscape in summer! With the Hochkarbahn you are not only quickly on the mountain, but also with a lot of comfort. The perfect start for a variety of leisure activities!

Information for dog owners: Dogs can be transported on the Hochkarbahn. Hochkar & Ötscher Tourismus GmbH assumes no liability.
If the dog needs its own seat due to its size, a dog ticket must be purchased. Dogs that are carried as assistance dogs do not require a lift ticket and are transported FREE OF CHARGE. If the dog is carried on the dog owner's lap, the lift ride is FREE.
Via ferrata set rental times
You can rent your via ferrata set directly at the lift ticket office during the operating hours of the Hochkarbahn. Here is an overview of the most important information:
- Costs: 20,- € / per set
- Latest return time: 16:15
- Sets for children and adults
To ensure that the via ferrata sets are returned properly after use, it is necessary to leave a form of ID, so please bring a valid photo ID with you, which we will keep for the duration of the rental period. The ID will of course be returned to you when you return the via ferrata set. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
